National Day 2007

We couldn't get tickets for the National Day Parade, so Cass and Mama brought foldable stools and sat outside the Fullerton from 1pm till 6pm for the parade to start. Grandma was there to sell flags for the Community Chest.

Papa was late, and the policeman didn't want to let him in. Finally he relented, seeing that Cass needs a pee and Mama has a huge 'belly'.

We stayed for the crowd wowing boat shows by the coast guard and navy, and the airshow, and of course, the spectacular fireworks!!

After that, we had to walk all the way to Central to catch a bus... Thank goodness Cass took it all in her stride!! :)

Korean Cass

This costume was bought from Korea in 2001 when Mama and Papa went for a holiday!! It had been hanging in Mama's wardrobe till now. :)

Boat ride

Little Cass asked Mama if she could go on a boat, so we all went one Saturday morning. We took a bumboat from Clarke Quay to see the Merlion and back.

CNY in Cameron Highlands

Once again, over the holidays, we headed to Malaysia by coach from Five Stars Tour. This time we went to Cameron Highlands. We had great reviews from dear auntie Sharol, and it was great to experience the chill and tranquility of the small town.

The views were great, especially in the early morning when the fog is just starting to clear and the first light of the sun peering through the clouds. The farms are picturesque, reminds me of the scenes in watercolour of the japanese animation by studio gibli, of the farmer on his farm. So serene and peaceful, as i take in the fresh cool air...

We were caught in the rain on the first day, but our spirits were not dampened as we heartily tucked into the steamboat dinner as the fog swirled around us. :) And we went to do some light shopping in the rain at the pasar malam.
